Why did you decide to enter Jersey’s Best Workplace?

We entered Jersey’s Best Workplace because we are extremely proud of our inclusive and nurturing work environment and wanted to showcase our commitment to supporting our employees with their career development.

How do you prioritise career development in your business?

Fostering an environment of continuous learning is one of our core values at KPMG. This is prioritised through our personal development reviews where we encourage our employees to set goals for the year ahead and provide the resources needed to achieve them. This is achieved through structured training programmes, mentorship schemes, regular check-ins with performance managers and clear progression paths.

Why is this so important to you?

When our people are inspired to bring fresh ideas and new perspectives to their role, we thrive together as a firm. We want to ensure that our employees feel supported and motivated to reach their full potential and it is important to us that we provide them with the tools and guidance to achieve this.

How has this shaped your business?

Through investing in the future of our employees, we are ensuring that they are fully equipped to drive our business forward and maintain sustained growth whilst feeling confident to take on challenges and seize new opportunities.

What stood out from the feedback? Were there any surprises?

We were proud of the feedback we received which validated the effort and hard work already achieved in creating a culture that allows everyone within our workplace to have access to a wide range of learning opportunities, and further highlighted the benefits that investing in our employees’ futures has on them as individuals and collectively as a firm.

How will you build on the feedback gained to shape your business?

We will use the feedback received to continue to develop and improve on our programmes and initiatives to ensure that we are able to provide the most up to date and relevant learning opportunities available and maintain our position as a top employer for career development.
